Hiab, a subsidiary of Cargotec Corporation and a manufacturer of loader cranes, forestry and recycling cranes, truck-mounted forklifts, demountables, and tail lifts, just announced two newly updated models in its JONSERED crane series engineered for heavy-duty waste and recycling applications.

    Doing All The Heavy Lifting

Hiab builds its latest recycling cranes with two specs in mind: speed and durability. JONSERED-series recycling cranes are designed to handle and transport glass, metal, wood, and debris all day long.

The new lightweight, compact JONSERED 1250RZ recycling crane has a shorter boom and is ideal for use on smaller vehicles such as Euro6 trucks. It has a Z boom system, nDurance high-tech paint process for a durable finish, and an HPL (Hose Protection Link) feature that keeps hydraulic hoses running from the crane tip to the rotator out of harm’s way. The 1250RZ also has Over Load Protection (OLP), Operators Protection System (OPS), and a Load Holding Valve (LHV) that secures the load in the event that a hydraulic hose fails. There are three versions of the crane, with hydraulic extension outreach and lifting capacities of 26 feet (7.9 meters) and 7,055 pounds (3,200 kilograms), 26.25 feet (8 meters) and 7,385 pounds (3,350 kilograms), and 30.5 feet (9.3 meters) and 6,944 pounds (3,150 kilograms), respectively.

The updated JONSERED 1500RZ recycling crane features a variable pump hydraulic system, a Z boom system, nDurance, HPL (Hose Protection Link), Over Load Protection (OLP), Operators Protection System (OPS), and a Load Holding Valve (LHV). There are three versions of the 1500RZ, featuring hydraulic extension outreach of 26.25 feet, 26.9 feet (8.2 meters), and 31 feet (9.4 meters).

According to Hans Ekman, Vice President of Hiab LOGLIFT and JONSERED forestry and recycling cranes, “…We put a lot of emphasis on developing a crane range that can endure heavy intense load cycles, long work hours with continuous operation and that can answer to our customers’ needs for high performance, efficiency, and sustainability in their operations.”
