Hiab Finalizes Acquisition Of Effer
Hiab, a subsidiary of Cargotec, recently wrapped up its acquisition of Effer S.p.A., a move that was first announced in July 2018. Established in 1965, Effer specializes in light, medium, and big knuckle-boom cranes for general construction, roofing, tree cultivation, and many other applications. Effer is based in Minerbio, Italy, and has an extensive network of more than 100 dealers across 60 countries. Hiab ill not only have access to that network, but will also be able to leverage the reputations and product offerings of both brands to encourage further growth.
“I am incredibly proud today to welcome Effer and its employees as part of the Hiab family. Bringing our two proud histories, strong brands, and unique competence together will make Hiab and Effer stronger and able to even better serve our customers,” says Joakim Andersson, senior vice president of Cranes at Hiab. “With Effer becoming part of Hiab, two organizations with strong cultures and committed employees come together. We will make sure to nurture our unique strengths, the combined talent and unlock our growth potential.”
Leadership Structure
Effer will maintain its brand identity while under the Hiab global cranes umbrella. Andersson will oversee the brand with Lorenzo Cipriani reporting to him as the managing director of Effer. “We are really proud to be part of Hiab. This represents a great opportunity for Effer to bring our passion, professionalism, and our solutions to truly global scale and success," Cipriani says.
