Link-Belt will showcase the new TCC-800 telescopic crawler crane at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020, March 10 to 14 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The 80-ton (75 metric tons) telecrawler will begin field-testing in early spring with the first shipments expected for the fourth quarter of 2020.

    About The TCC-800

The TCC-800 has a four-section 38- to 120-foot (11.8- to 36.5-meter) full-power boom with a maximum tip height of 184.5 ft (56.2 m). The crane also has Link-Belt’s SmartFly pinning system to aid proper fly erection and stowage sequence. A Stage V dual-compliant Cummins QSB 6.7 engine with 232 horsepower provides the TCC-800 better fuel economy and cold-start capability. With a vision package that includes right-side swing, winch-view, and rear-view cameras, operators have clear visibility from setup to lifting. The TCC-800 also has high-performance variable displacement pumps for power control and load sensing. The new telecrawler offers an option of one or two-piece 35-58-foot (10.6-17.6-meter) fly and has variable side frame track positions (V-CALC).

“V-CALC, in the case of the new TCC-800, offers the added flexibility to operate the crane with side frames in asymmetric configurations,” says Scott Knight, product manager Lattice and Telescopic Crawler Cranes. “Pulse 2.0 monitors actual side frame position, auto-selecting the correct chart.”

    Control Options

Operators have a choice of single-axis or joystick controls for selectable foot or hand control for travel operation. A wireless remote can also be added to enable operators to control the crane from outside the cab.
