Link-Belt is bringing a number of new and recent cranes to the bauma construction trade fair, which is being held in Munich, Germany, from October 24th to 30th. The new 120-ton (110-metric-ton) 120 TT telescopic boom truck crane will make an appearance, as will an 85-ton (80-mt) 85 RT rough-terrain model and an 80-t (75-mt) TCC-800 telescopic boom crawler crane. Sister company Sumitomo Heavy Industries Construction Cranes will once again share booth space with Link-Belt at the show.

    The Link-Belt 120 TT

Making its debut at bauma is the new, four-axle 120 TT telescopic boom truck crane. A steerable rear axle with super single tires is key to the new all-terrain crane’s maneuverability. The all-wheel-steer 120 TT features four steering modes, namely independent front, independent rear, combination, and crab. More details will be available at the show.

    The Link-Belt 85 RT

The 85 RT is a two-axle, rough-terrain crane with a new drivetrain and counterweight removal system. Its full-power, five-section, formed boom can extend from 38 to 142 feet (11.6 to 43.3 meters) in length. Link-Belt’s patented, two-piece SmartFly, available as an option, can be manually offset to 0, 15, 30 and 45 degrees. Altogether, the 85 RT boasts a maximum tip height of 208.7 ft (63.6 m).

The 85 RT comes with Link-Belt’s next-generation operator’s cab, which can tilt up to 20 degrees. The crane gets its power from a Cummins QSB 6.7-liter diesel engine with Tier 4 Final emissions compliance and 270 horsepower (201 kilowatts). The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission.

    The Link-Belt TCC-800

Link-Belt’s successor to the popular TCC-750 telescopic boom crawler crane is the 80-t TCC-800. The crane’s full-power, four-section main boom can telescope from 38.6 to 120.1 ft (11.8 to 36.6 m).

With an optional one- or two-piece fly, the TCC-800 can reach a 184.5-ft (56.24-m) maximum tip height. Link-Belt’s SmartFly pinning system minimizes the amount of work required at height. SmartFly also helps ensure the fly is set up and stowed away in the proper sequence.

The TCC-800 requires only one overflow load during transport. On-site, the crane is powered by a Cummins QSB 6.7-L motor with 232 HP (173 kW).
