Kirby-Smith Machinery Reaches Customers Across Construction Markets With CraneTrader & Machinery Trader
In June, Sandhills Global Forum brought together professionals from the construction, agriculture, commercial trucking, and aviation industries. During the three-day event, General Manager Bo Ross and Sales Manager Matt Heisel of Kirby-Smith Machinery sat down to talk with us about how Machinery Trader and CraneTrader have been key players in their company’s success.
Kirby-Smith Machinery On The Benefits Of Advertising
Founded in 1983 by Ed Kirby, Kirby-Smith Machinery serves the construction, mining, and industrial markets. The company is a leading distributor of heavy equipment and cranes in the central United States.
Machinery Trader and CraneTrader help Kirby-Smith Machinery to prioritize their customers and reach a wider range using print ads and online advertisements. “Sandhills helps us do that by reaching out to more customers. Not everybody is a large contractor. We have a lot of customers we want to pay attention to that maybe buy one machine in their lifetime or in five years,” says Heisel. “We want to reach those customers and make sure we get in front of them.”
Additionally, Kirby-Smith Machinery uses the Machinery Trader magazine and featured listings to connect with its customer base. “I think name recognition is a lot,” says Ross. “That exposure—popping up at the top of a featured listing—is very beneficial for us.”
