    About P&H

P&H is a manufacturer of rough-terrain cranes, lattice crawler cranes, and truck cranes that currently exists as a legacy brand under Terex, the global manufacturer of lifting and material handling equipment for a variety of industries. The company, which gets its name from its founders Alonzo Pawling & Henry Harnischfeger, was established as a small machine and pattern shop in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1884.

In 1887, Pawling & Harnischfeger started manufacturing overhead industrial cranes and quickly garnered a reputation for making powerful, reliable industrial equipment. Following the death of Alonzo Pawling in 1911, P&H changed its name to Harnischfeger Corporation, though machines still bore the former partner’s initials. In 1920, P&H designed the first machines with a fully welded body. Starting in 1942, the Harnischfeger Corporation produced P&H-branded cranes and excavators to help out during World War II. In 1988, P&H mobile cranes was licensed to PPM / North America, and later, in 1995, Terex acquired PPM.

CraneTrader.com offers various new and used cranes from P&H, Terex, and its subsidiaries, including telescopic boom truck/crawler cranes, lattice boom truck/crawler cranes, rough-terrain cranes, and all-terrain cranes. Commonly available models include P&H Century and Omega rough-terrain cranes, among others. These machines are used for a wide range of construction, industrial, and military applications.
