Fassi Then & Now
Fassi released its first hydraulic crane in 1965. Three years later, it opened its first foreign dealership, located in France. In the late 1980s, it entered the military crane sector. By that decade’s end, it released the F750 as part of a new heavy-duty crane series. In the 1990s, Fassi introduced rapid booms featuring increasingly longer outreach distances. From 2000 to 2010, the company focused on innovations to enhance its production line technologies, extend its manufacturing units, and renovate its process logics. During the subsequent decade, Fassi introduced the Fassi Stability Control (FSC) system, produced its 150,000th crane, and joined forces with mini crane manufacturer Jekko.

Fassi’s light-duty cranes have maximum lift capacities ranging from 1.1 to 13.2 tons (1 to 12 metric tons) and max outreach figures from 8.9 to 54.5 feet (2.7 to 16.6 meters). Its medium-duty cranes are designed for use with two- or three-axle trucks in various setups, with lift capacities ranging from 14.4 to 37.5 t (13 to 34 mt) and 55 to 87.6 ft (16.75 to 26.7 m) of maximum outreach. Fassi heavy-duty cranes are for installation on three- or four-axle trucks, and have maximum load capacities of about 44.1 t (40 mt) or higher and a maximum outreach of 135.5 ft. (41.3 m) or longer. Fassi cranes come with a big selection of standard features and options, including things like the Fassi Electronic Control system, Manual Outriggers Lock, Crane Position Monitoring, the Grab Automatic Shake system, Outrigger Easy Tilt and Outrigger Hydraulic Tilt, and remote control functionality.
Fassi Technologies & Features
Fassi builds sophisticated technologies into its cranes, each of which is represented by a Fassi Techno Chip that tells operators exactly what capabilities are at their disposal. The Fassi Stability Control system continuously monitors the machine’s balance and compares it to ideal conditions based on the crane’s lateral extension and the position of its outriggers. An FX-Link system optimizes connectivity between crane and truck, allowing for control of truck functions from the crane’s remote control unit and checking crane status from the truck’s dashboard. Smart Hybrid Technology, included in models like the F345RB electric crane, allow Fassi cranes to work in fully electric mode. The system features a lithium hybrid battery pack that can be recharged by the truck’s engine during travel or using power outlets. Fassi also provides complementary tech products such as the Fassi SmartApp, which makes it easy to monitor your cranes from a computer or laptop.
