About PALFINGER

Austria-based PALFINGER got its start in 1932 when Richard Palfinger opened up a workshop for building and repairing tippers, agricultural trailers, and other products. In 1959, the company built its first crane, and five years later Richard’s son Hubert moved the company toward building truck-mounted hydraulic cranes. That decision set PALFINGER on a clear path for the next 50 years.

Expansions

Throughout the next three decades, the company expanded first into France and Switzerland before eventually spreading to more 70 countries by 1989. Today, you’ll find PALFINGER products on five continents in more than 130 countries; the company employs over 10,000 people and has roughly 5,000 sales and service outlets.
