    About Versalift

    Versalift’s origins go back to the 1960s when Bill Blewett and Russell Howard saw an opportunity to make the job of telephone line workers easier and safer. Along with Charlie Turner, they produced the V-24 aerial lift truck in Clifton, Texas. Howard and Turner, who purchased Blewett’s stake in the company, renamed the company Versalift and moved from Clifton to Waco, Texas. In 1968, they formed the Time Manufacturing Company, Versalift’s parent company.


    Versalift TEL-29 Telescopic Bucket Truck

    In the decades that followed, Versalift not only added a second location in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, (called “Versalift East”) but also expanded to reach a global audience with locations in Denmark, France, the United Kingdom, and Benelux, which includes Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.

    Also, in that time, Versalift introduced several new products designed to support a wide range of applications outside of telecommunications, including electric utility, power distribution and transmission, tree care, wind energy, and government work. Its offerings now include standard and high access aerial lifts, bridge inspection vehicles, bucket trucks, cable placers, digger derricks, and more.

    Versalift Bucket Trucks & More

    The most common Versalift products for sale on Crane Trader are far and away bucket trucks. One example of a popular model is the SST-40-EIH articulated telescopic bucket truck. This insulated solution has a platform capacity of 450 pounds (204 kilograms), working height of 45 feet (13.7 meters), horizontal reach of 27.75 ft (8.5 m), and a stowed travel height of 10.33 ft (3.15 m).

    Another example is the Versalift TEL-29-N side mount telescopic bucket truck. This is a non-insulated unit with a platform capacity of 350 lbs (159 kg), working height of 33.92 ft (10 m), horizonal reach of 20.67 ft (6.1 m), and a stowed travel height of 9.75 ft (2.7 m). And then there’s the insulated VST-47-I articulated telescopic bucket truck, which has a platform capacity of 500 lbs (227 kg), a working height of 42 ft (15.5 m), a horizontal reach of 30.75 ft (9.14 m), and a stowed travel height of 11 ft (3.35 m).

    Although these are more specific models, there are also several other options available in the SST-40, TEL-29, and VST-47 ranges with various platform capacities, working heights, and other specifications and features.
