Take A Closer Look At The Kobelco CK3300G-2 Crawler Crane

    Posted On: November 9, 2018

The Kobelco CK3300G-2 lattice boom crawler crane is a highly customizable machine available in standard, fixed jib, heavy fixed jib, and luffing jib configurations with optional Heavy Lift and Super Heavy Lift attachments for higher maximum lifting capacities.

Earlier this year, Kobelco Construction Machinery USA launched its versatile CK3300G-2 lattice boom crawler crane, which can lift as much as 771,750 pounds (350,060 kilograms), depending on the configuration. It sports a Scania DC13 084AA diesel engine that meets Tier 4 Final standards set by the United States Environmental Protection Agency with the help of diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology. The engine produces up to 450 horsepower and 1,663 pounds foot (2,254.7 newton-meters) of torque.

    Multiple Options

Kobelco’s CK3300G-2 is available in standard, fixed jib, heavy fixed jib, and luffing jib configurations, and you have the option of adding Heavy Lift or Super Heavy Lift attachments to raise the machine’s maximum lifting capacity. For example, in the standard luffing jib configuration, the CK3300G-2 has a maximum lifting capacity of 260,200 pounds (118,025 kilograms) at a radius of 44 feet (13.4 meters) and a maximum combination of 197 feet (60 meters) + 217 feet (66.1 meters). However, with the Super Heavy Lift add-on, those numbers increase to 264,500 pounds (119,975 kilograms) at 46 feet (14 meters) with a maximum combination of 276 feet (84.1 meters) + 295 feet (89.9 meters).

    Right-Sized

Kobelco designed the CK3300G-2 to be as compact and easy to transport as possible. The tracks are 32.8 feet (10 meters) long with 52-inch (1.3-meter) pads and a 26.58-foot (8.1-meter) stance width. During transport, the crane breaks down into components that are no wider than 10 feet (3.048 meters) with the main machine weighing it at 93,615 pounds (42,463.1 kilograms) without the mast and 116,200 pounds (52,707.4 kilograms) with the mast. To transport a full, 295-foot crane with 352,700-pound (159,982-kilogram) counterweights, it only takes 17 trips, and Kobelco offers a Crane Transportation Plan on its website to help make the process as streamlined as possible.

If you’re interested in adding one of these machines to your fleet, CraneTrader.com currently has one Kobelco CK3300G-2 lattice boom crawler crane for sale.
